DC urges scouts, guides to imbibe good habits

ROING, Sep 10: Lower Dibang Valley Deputy Commissioner Mitali Namchoom on Tuesday urged the scouts and guides of the state to imbibe good habits and values in their daily life.
Namchoom said this during her visit to the state level ‘tritya sopan’ training and testing camp for scouts and guides which got underway at the Scouts and Guides Training Centre here on 8 September.
Congratulating the students for being associated with the Scouts and Guides movement, the DC said the camp would provide them a chance to interact with others “and open up new opportunities.”
BEO O Langkam said such training and testing camps prepare the participants to face all kinds of obstacles in life.
Course leader Gautam Bhattacharjee (Scouts) informed that as many as 96 scouts and guides from eight districts of the eastern region of the state are participating in the camp. He also presented a brief on the course content and objectives of the camp.
