‘Seva Saptah’ to commemorate PM’s 69th b’day

ITANAGAR, Sep 14: The BJP has launched a ‘Seva Saptah’ or ‘Service Week’ throughout the nation to commemorate the 69th birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 17 September.
Addressing reporters at the Arunachal Press Club here on Saturday, state BJP spokesperson Dominic Tadar informed that programmes like blood donation camps, free health check-ups, and visits to hospitals, old-age homes and orphanages have been lined up for the weeklong celebration in the state.
Tadar said review programmes on various schemes launched by the Modi-led central government will also be taken up.
“Various schemes launched by the Modi-led government will be reviewed. We want to ensure that the schemes launched for the poor are actually reaching them,” he said.
State BJP vice president and convener for the ‘Seva Saptah’, Kipa Babu said various sector roads will be repaired as part of the celebration.
“We will serve the people of the state in the name of our PM,” he said.
