ITANAGAR, Sep 23: Governor BD Mishra on Monday flagged off a ‘Swachhta Pakhwada relay cycle rally’ from Raj Bhavan here.
The cyclists, comprising 15 senior division cadets of the 1 Arunachal Pradesh NCC battalion, will spread awareness on the Swachhta Abhiyan in Assam’s Gohpur on the first day and in Biswanath Chariali on the second day.
Earlier, the commanding officer of the 1 AP NCC Bn highlighted the nationwide Swachhta Abhiyan.
The 15-member cyclists are Senior Under-Officer Ashok Debnath, Under Officers Tai Talap, Satnam Singh Dhillon and Nani Takar, Sergeants Tashi Sarmu and Arun Ramachiary, Corporals Likha Obi, Shiva Rai, Aido Tonong Pabin and Chera Tana, Lance Corporal Subash Sonar, and cadets Sagar Pradhan, Tania Motu, Taro Apang and Ashish Kumar Upadhyay.
