ITANAGAR, Sep 28: Director General (DG) of the Sports Authority of India (SAI), Sandeep Pradhan, called on Chief Minister Pema Khandu here on Saturday, and the two discussed the matter of identifying sporting talents in schools and colleges, other than the sports academies.
They also discussed opening three new sports centres of excellence, in martial arts, weightlifting and boxing, in the state.
On the infrastructure issue, the chief minister suggested using prefabricated buildings, considering the challenging work period in Arunachal due to the unfavourable weather conditions.
Khandu assured Pradhan of full support from the state government during his tour of Arunachal to assess the sports facilities in the state. (CMO)
