ITANAGAR, Oct 28: Five contestants have made it to the final round of the ‘Northeast Idol’ singing contest after making it through the elimination round held at the Dorjee Khandu convention centre here on 27 October.
The finalists are Meenam Goi (Arunachal), Pritam Rai (Sikkim), Jikke Bhai (Arunachal), Nikita Debnath (Tripura) and Surajit Biswas (Assam).
The five were selected from among 16 contestants. They will now participate in the final round, scheduled to be held at IG Park here on 16 November.
Attending the elimination round, NERIST Director HS Yadav extended his best wishes to the contestants, and called on them to “sing for unity and harmony.”
