ABC rides to promote eco-tourism

KIMIN, Nov 9: In a bid to create awareness about community based eco-tourism and adventure tourism at Kimin in Papum Pare district, the Arunachal Bullet Club (ABC) conducted a promotional ride on Saturday.
The programme was initiated by the Kimin ADC Likha Teji, with support of the Abhinam Ajin Tulu self help group, Kimin Market Welfare Committee and Voda Lake Protection Committee, as Kimin was recently identified as a place with potential scope for adventure and eco-tourism.
The ride was flagged off by former ZPM Kimin Tai Tayu towards Voda Lake, where he appealed to the locals to cash on the tourism potential of Kimin.
Later, the ADC highlighted that “Kimin has a lot of scope for trekking, eco-tourism and adventure tourism, as it has a serene three-tiered waterfall, natural lake and healthy vegetation to attract domestic tourists from neighbouring state of Assam.”
“Tourism could be source of sustainable livelihood for the locals here as Kimin is popular for orange orchards and exotic picnic spots,” the ADC added.
Later, a night camp tent was pitched on the bank of the Panior River.
