Qualifiers for Tadar Tang Football Tournament get underway

ITANAGAR, Nov 20: The qualifying rounds of the 18th Tadar Tang State Level Football Tournament, 2019 for zone 1, zone 2 and zone 3 got underway on Wednesday.
East Kameng registered a narrow 2-1 win over debutant Pakke Kessang in the inaugural match of zone 1 played at East Kameng headquarter Seppa.
Omak Dawe and June Dodum scored a goal each for the host team, while Karu Natung scored the lone goal for Pakke Kessang.
In the second match, West Kameng beat Tawang 3-0. Pempa Tsering of West Kameng scored all the three goals and became the first player to score a hat-trick in the current edition of the tournament.
The inaugural match was witnessed by East Kameng ADC Gaurav Singh Rajawat and Arunachal Pradesh Football Association (APFA) secretary Kipa Ajay.
Capital Complex FA (CCFA) defeated Papum Pare 2-1 in the inaugural match of zone 2 played at the Sangay Lhaden Sports Academy playground, Chimpu. Nabam Peri scored both goals for CCFA while Avinash Kharel scored the lone goal for the defeated team.
In the inaugural match of zone-3 played at Daporijo in Upper Subansiri district, Kra Daadi beat Kurung Kumey 1-0. The all important goal was scored by Takam Kakum.
The second match played between Upper Subansiri and Kamle ended in a goalless draw.
