Bana gets St. Xavier’s School

Shoulder responsibilities for betterment of education: Natung

BANA, Dec 1: A branch of St. Xavier’s School was formally inaugurated here in East Kameng district on Sunday by Sports & Youth Affairs Minister Mama Natung.
Calling the day a historic one, Minister Natung exhorted all the stakeholders to shoulder responsibilities for the betterment of education sector and requested them to go the extra mile collectively for the socio-cultural and educational development of the district. He further urged the people to give importance to better education of their children.
Minister Natung reiterated that the education is the most important social sector on which development of any society is depended upon. “Education is the basic building block of foundation for any society to become a develop society. Until and unless this sector is developed, the mentality of the people will not be developed and hence, the society will not be developed,” he further stated.
Informing that the State government attaches special status and accords top most priority to education, he apprised the people that the present state government under Chief Minister Pema Khandu is undertaking every possible initiative to bring holistic development of education sector and requested the people to extend their support and cooperation.
He also inspected the school and assured to provide all possible assistance for quality education in the school. The students, teachers, parents and host of public leaders were also present and witnessed the event.
The minister was accompanied by Rev. Fr. Richard Jarain, DDSE Kata Rangmo, Bana EAC Pooza Sonam Natung, EE (WRD) Suren Natung, and host of HoDs and other govt. officials. DIPRO
