KHONSA, Dec 1: Tirap Deputy Commissioner PN Thungon launched the National Pension Week (NPW) here on Saturday.
Speaking on the occasion, Thungon urged the unrecognized workers and traders of Khonsa township in particular, and other NGOs and SHGs of Tirap district to get themselves enrolled for the Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maan-Dhaan Yojana (PMSYMY) and National Pension Scheme (NPS).
During the weeklong programme, enrollment activities will be carried out under the PMSYMY and NPS.
Officers and officials from the labour & employment department, workers union, transport union, Khonsa Bazar Welfare Association, Nocte Mothers Federation and SHG members were present on the occasion.
