SEPPA, Dec 2: Seppa West and Bameng constituencies won the boys football and volleyball tournaments of the 4th district level Hangpan Dada Memorial Trophy Tournament, which ended at general ground here on Saturday.
Bameng and Chayan-gtajo were the runners up in the boys’ football and volleyball respectively.
In the girls’ category, Chayangtajo were champion in both football and Volleyball. Seppa West and Bameng constituencies were the runners up in the girls’ football and volleyball respectively.
Desu Cheri and Mechang Veo were adjudged as the best male and female football players respectively of the tournament while Kamiyo Riang and Lohi Sario won the best volleyball players’ titles in the boys’ and girls’ categories respectively.
The winners will represent East Kameng in the state level tournament, which is tentatively fixed from the second week of January, 2020.
East Kameng Football Association president Eka Rimo, District Sports Officer Koya Yame, All East Kameng District Students’ Union president Chakang Yangda, and host of government officials and public leaders attended the closing ceremony.
Anini DIPRO adds: The district level HDMT tournament for Dibang Valley was also conducted by the District Football Association in collaboration with the sports department.
JNV Anini won both boys and girls football and girls’ volleyball tournaments while Alinye Block won the boys’ volleyball. The winners were awarded cash prizes.
