TAWANG, Dec 4: Skill development sensitization, motivation and trainees selection rally was organized by Department of Industries at general parade ground here in Tawang district on Wednesday.
The programme has been sponsored by state’s Directorate of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship.
Altogether 191 candidates registered themselves with various Vocational Training Providers (VTPs) for different trades and courses. The VTPs involved were – Indianeers Media, Assam Proffessional Academy, Tusti Foundation, Andragogy Impact Methodology And Analysis Pvt Ltd and AIMA SKILL Training centre.
Tawang ADC Lobsang Tsering, in his address said, appealed to the candidates to take best possible benefit from this programme to become self- employed.
Asst Director of Industries Tsering Drema briefed the candidates about skill development.
“This year’s skill development programme is beginning from Tawang district and shall cover all the districts of state. This programme is meant for educated unemployed youths and school dropouts to improve their skill and make themselves capable for self employment,’ Drema said.
Tawang Dy. SP Thutan Jambey also spoke on the occasion.
