PASIGHAT, Dec 5: A total of five individuals and three SHGs were selected for extension of bank linkage to avail the benefit under DAY-NULM (Deendayal Antodaya Yojana-National Urban Livelihood Mission) for self-employed business, during a day long DAY-NULM conducted by the Pasighat Municipal Council (PMC) here in East Siang district on Thursday.
DC-cum-PMC Administrator Kinny Singh apprised all the participating individuals that the actual aim of the DAY-NULM is to generate livelihood.
‘Credit linkage was very essential for promoting entrepreneurship in the state,’ she opined and advised the selected beneficiaries to invest the start-up loan amount for long term sustainability. Further, she urged upon all the members of the SHGs to actively participate in management of solid waste including door-to-door collection and to propagate the message of benefits of keeping the city clean.
The Self Employment Programme (SEP-Individual) & Self Employment Programme (SEP-Group) – components of Deendayal Antodaya Yojana-National Urban Livelihood Mission (DAY-NULM) are being implemented by Pasighat Municipal Council.
Besides many bright and upcoming individual entrepreneurs, members of the about 15(Fifteen) SHGs comprising 100 persons, R.C Patir, District Lead Bank Manager (SBI), Vinit Kumar, Branch Manager (Bank of Baroda) and functionaries of Pasighat Municipal Council attended the programme. DIPRO
