ITANAGAR, Dec 28: A 20-member roll ball team of Arunachal will participate in the 13th National Sub-Junior Roll Ball Championship for the first time in Guwahati, Assam, from 29 to 31 December.
The team consists of 12 girls and eight boys, Arunachal Pradesh Roll Ball Federation president Jesi Debia informed in a release.
In its first match, the state’s boys’ team will be up against Meghalaya, while the girls’ team will face Madhya Pradesh on 29 December.
On the second day, Arunachal’s girls’ team will be pitted against Uttar Pradesh, and the boys’ team will be up against the boys from Bihar.
The event will witness the participation of 17 states from across India at the Delhi Public School grounds in Khanapara, Guwahati.
Roll ball is a game played between two teams of six, and is a unique combination of roller skates, basketball, handball and throwball.
