PASIGHAT, Dec 30: About 80 candidates registered by the East Siang District Industries Centre underwent a ‘Skill development awareness rally-cum-job mela’ organised here by the DIC on Monday.
DC (in-charge) Tatdo Borang, who inaugurated the event, advised the trainees to take advantage of the government’s programmes for unemployed youths.
“The department provides such skill development programmes from time to time, ensuring employment opportunities for job seekers in various fields, and helping them to start self-sustaining ventures in and outside the state with confidence,” he said.
Among others, ADI M Megu, ADTH Libang Perme, and vocational training providers attended the event. (DIPRO)
