CHIRANG, Jan 6: Deputy Chief of Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) Kampa Borgoyary has invited Everester Anshu Jamsenpa and her team to “explore, guide and collaborate in the promotion and development of adventure sport activities in the BTC area.”
He said this at the Dwijing festival celebration here in Assam last Tuesday, during which Jamsenpa was also felicitated for her “record-breaking feats and for inspiring mountaineers and adventurers.”
BTC Tourism Advisor Partha P Das informed that “Dwijing festival is a highly rated and most valued festival in the Bodoland territorial area district, and is held from 27 December to 7 January every year.”
Over 1 lakh visitors throng the festival venue every day, and the total figure is expected to touch 16 lakh visitors by 7 January, the concluding day of the festival.
The festival was inaugurated on 27 December, 2019, by BTC Chief Hangrama Mahilary.
