ROING, Feb 14: Newly recruited members of Childline Chongkham participated in a three-day training which concluded here in Lower Dibang Valley district on Friday. The programme was organised in collaboration with NGO AMYAA.
Childline Chongkham, under the Arunachal Pali Vidyapith Society, is the third emergency service in the state which is supported by the women & child development ministry.
The new recruits were apprised of topics such as child rights, the POCSO Act, Childline models, call responses, basic steps of intervention, awareness strategies, documentation, Childline protection policy, etc.
The Childline teams of Roing and Chongkham also went on a door-to-door field visit and underwent ‘call testing’ at Ezengo village here. They also met with members of the child advisory board, the Child Welfare Committee, and the Child Care Institute here.
