Assn. calls on Speaker, submits memo

ITANAGAR, Mar 2: Members of the All Shi Yomi District Youth Association (ASYDYA), led by its president Kiran Rinya and general secretary Taju Tapen had met state legislative assembly Speaker and Mechuka MLA Pasang D Sona, here on Monday.
The association also submitted a seven-point memorandum and sought urgent steps to address its grievances.
Its demands include immediate restoration of power and telecom services at district headquarters Tato and two administration circles of Manigong and Pidi; establishment of branches of State Bank of India, Bank of Baroda, Arunachal Pradesh State Cooperative Apex Bank etc, besides a treasury office at Tato; ensuring immediate functioning of Jan Suvidha Kendra at Tato DC/EAC office; allocation of fund for construction of residential quarters for government officers and officials at Tato; shifting of makeshift offices of Power (elect), Education, Rural Works departments from Aalo to Tato and early bifurcation of WRD Aalo Division to create an independent division at Tato.
