NYORCH, Mar 2: Cocktail Cricket Club (CCC) defeated NCC Lions (NCCL) by nine wickets in the second match of the 3rd Nyokum Big Bash Cricket Tournament played at the general ground here in Papum Pare district on Monday.
Opting to bat first, NCCL scored 116/10 in their allotted 20 over.
For NCCL, Langpu Ranga, Gurenso Malo and N Barman scored 32, 26 and 19 runs respectively.
Suresh Bhujel and Shankar Mallah took four and two wickets each, respectively.
CCC chased down the required target in just 8.4 overs, losing one wicket.
Kunal Sahu scored highest 66 runs off 23 balls for the winning team. His knock studded with seven sixes and five fours.
The inaugural match played between Si Donyi Cricket Club and Aashiyana Cricket Club ended in a draw.
Opting to bat first after winning the toss, ACC restricted SDCC to 115/9 in 20 over.
Tai Magung and Techi Sania scored 37 and 23 runs respectively.
Nalin Chetia and G Kuli took three and two wickets each respectively.
Chasing the target, ACC were all out for 115/10 in 18.3 over.
Nalin and Bitupan Buragohian scored 22 and 15 runs respectively.
Taje Nalo, Nabam Dol and Mibom Misu took 3, 3 and 2 wickets each respectively.
Eighteen teams-Nirjuli Cricket Club, A1 Star Cricket Club, Itanagar Cricket Club, Balijan Cricket Club, Mainu Doimukh Cricket Club, Aashiyana Cricket Club Nyorch,Cocktail Cricket Club, Elite Cricket Club, Excellent Cricketing of Eleven Brothers, Friendship United Cricket Club, Guardians of Kora, Hame Tagru Sporting Club, NCCL, Nyorch Market Cricket Club, Sanjay XI Harmutty, Shining Star, Si Donyi Cricket Club and Team Green Itanagar -from both Assam and Arunachal are participating in the tournament.
Organising committee chairman Nabam Abo and secretary Taba Rom highlighted about the tournament.
The tournament is organised by Tarajuli and Nyorch youths.
Naharlagun PWD division executive engineer Techi Nabo Tara and Borum Panchayat Youth Welfare Association Techi Govind Tara attended the inaugural programme.
