BASAR, Mar 6: IMFL and locally made liquor were seized and destroyed following a raid conducted at the new market here in Leparada district on Friday by a joint team of the district administration, the police and the Basar unit of the APWWS.
Led by CO Tami Taga, the team, which included Inspector Token Dubi and Basar APWWS unit president Ribbi Basar, conducted raids at various locations in and around the township, focusing mainly on shops near educational institutions which were reportedly selling locally made liquor and IMFL without licence.
The team advised the owners of the liquor shops to desist from selling alcohol to underage individuals, and informed them that strict action will be initiated against violators. (DIPRO)
