KAI takes serious note on participation of karatekas in unrecognized c’ships

ITANAGAR, Mar 18: Karate Association of India (KAI) president Likha Tara has taken serious note of the participation of few karate players of the state in some unrecognized international karate events/ championships.
“I have noticed participation of some karate players in few unrecognized international championships held in India and abroad in the recent past. These players had participated in those invitational championships in their individual capacities only and the KAI and Arunachal Karate Do Association never selected them,” Tara said.
Stating that such participation brings bad name to the state and country in terms of performance, he urged everyone, including the government, not to give much importance to such championships.
The KAI president advised them to come forward and cooperate with AKA, if they are really concerned with the development of karate in Arunachal.
