TATO, Apr 18: The All Shi-Yomi District Youth Association has strongly opposed conducting the walk-in interviews for the posts of epidemiologist and data entry operator under the Shi-Yomi DMO office amid the Covid-19 lockdown, and urged the authorities concerned to put the interviews on hold until the lockdown is lifted or the situation is back to normal.
The association claimed that the interviews, which had been scheduled to be held on 15 April, have been rescheduled for 20 April, “that too without publishing any advertisement or notification regarding the deferment.”
Speaking to this daily, the association’s president Kiran Rinya said several aspirants who applied for the posts are stranded outside the district and would be unable to attend the interviews if they are conducted amid the lockdown.
He also said that it is still not known whether the jobs are contractual or regular/permanent.
The association further said that the interviews should be conducted at the headquarters here, instead of in Mechuka.
