ITANAGAR, Apr 22: The All Arunachal Contractor’s Welfare Association (AACWA) has suggested the state government to set up testing laboratory for Covid-19 at each district hospital using the respective MLA local area development funds.
ACWA president Nabam Akin Hina, has in a release on Wednesday, claimed that due to unavailability of lab testing centre the state has to depend on Assam which causes delay in many testing reports.
He further said that the health department is testing only those individuals who entered the state after the lockdown period as it is not possible for the health department to take samples of every individual for testing Covid-19.
“If the state government sets up testing labs at each district hospital then people can get themselves tested for Covid-19,” he stated.
The AACWA has further urged the state government to lift the ban on government transaction of cheques issued to contractors and initiate process for authorization of releasing LOC against all government projects works.
It also appealed to all district administrations to issue vehicles passes to contractors for carrying of construction materials from neighbouring state and district headquarters up to their work site as per norms of Ministry of Home GoI.
