KANUBARI, Apr 24: Beneficiaries under the Integrated Child Development Scheme’s supplementary nutrition programme were provided with nutritional supplementary foods by anganwadi workers and anganwadi helpers here in Longding district on Friday.
Following the closure of the anganwadi centres due to the nationwide lockdown, the women & child development (WCD) department with this step is ensuring that regular nutritional foods are supplied to pregnant women, lactating mothers and preschool children.
Kanubari CDPO Sabita Bhagawati informed that the WCD department also conducted an awareness session with all anganwadi workers and helpers, as well as the beneficiaries, during the lockdown period. (DIPRO)
