Dept seeks land for NCDC, SDRF establishments

ITANAGAR, May 5: The land management department is seeking allotment of land in Hollongi for establishment of the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) laboratory and headquarter of state disaster response force (SDRF).
Secretary Land Management Dr Sonal Swaroop on Tuesday directed the Balijan ADC and Yupia DLR&SO to liaise with the director of town planning to allot land measuring three acres to establish NCDC laboratory and another four acres for headquarters of SDRF near the proposed greenfield airport site.
The land has already been acquired by the government of Arunachal Pradesh.
The secretary urged the officials to speed up the process, stating that the survey and demarcation work for establishment of both the facilities should be done by 8 May and a report regarding the action taken should be submitted by 11 May.
