ITANAGAR, Jul 24: A string of theft cases have been reported from the Ramakrishna Mission Hospital (RKMH) here in the last several days.
As per sources, a case of theft was reported in the hospital’s women’s ward on 22 July. Unknown person(s) stole a patient’s money and belongings from the ward at night, when all the patients were asleep.
The victim has reportedly not filed a complaint with the police so far.
A similar incident had occurred several days ago, when a patient’s belongings were stolen in the same fashion from inside one of the hospital’s wards.
Speaking to this daily, Itanagar PS OC Phassang Simi informed that in the latter case, the police inspected the CCTV footage but it revealed no clue regarding the incident.
“We are looking into it. An investigation is on,” the OC stated.
The RKMH authorities could not be reached for comment.
