ICR reports 48.09% of total cases as state records 210 Covid-19 cases on Monday

ITANAGAR, Sep 21: The state recorded 210 cases of Covid-19 on Monday, with the Itanagar capital region (ICR) reporting nearly half of the cases.

The ICR registered 101 cases, which amounts to 48.09 percent of the total cases detected on the day.

Of these, 30 cases were reported from the TRIHMS, 25 from the paid quarantine testing centre in Itanagar, 11 from the health services directorate office in Naharlagun, 10 from the Banderdewa check gate, eight from the Covid care centre in the zoo area, eight from Niba Hospital, six from Heema Hospital, two from the RK Mission Hospital, and one from the state quarantine facility in Lekhi.

Changlang followed in second place with 18 cases. Three cases each were reported from the APP and the IRBn, six from Jairampur town, three from Miao town, two from Kharsang town and one from Changlang town.

Pakke-Kessang reported 12 cases. Five of them were reported from the primary health centre in Baliso, four from the DMO office and three from the check gate.

Of the total cases reported on the day, 29 are symptomatic.

The number of active cases stands at 1,939. Of these, 1,293 people are in government-run hospitals/care centres, while 646 people are in home isolation.

Meanwhile, 235 people have been discharged, with the highest discharge of 50 in the ICR, followed by Papum Pare (48) and East Siang (40). (See full bulletin here.)

On Monday, 2,899 samples were collected.

A total of 7,595 people have been infected, 5,643 have been discharged, and 13 deaths have occurred in the state so far.
