ANINI, 24 Feb: Dibang Valley DC Minga Sherpa, Monitoring Director Mokir Ori, HoDs, field officers and panchayat members of Dibang Valley participated in a workshop on monitoring and geotagging of developmental projects in the district on Wednesday.
The workshop was organized by the finance, planning & investment department in collaboration with the State Remote Sensing Application Centre (SRSAC).
Ori spoke about the importance of satellite monitoring and geotagging “to create one-stop solution for effective monitoring and better planning of various developmental projects and activities in the district.”
He advocated creating a single platform for data sharing among all stakeholders “to facilitate decision support.”
Resource persons Nilam Sunil from the SRSAC, Monitoring RA Tapo Yorung and Monitoring Assistant Bankong Perme made PowerPoint presentations and imparted training on the procedures, and also highlighted the benefits of geotagging. (DIPRO)
