ZIRO, 15 Mar: The accredited social health activists (ASHA) of Lower Subansiri district on Monday staged a peaceful dharna at the Hapoli UD parking lot, demanding that the authorities concerned increase their honorarium
from the existing Rs 1,000 to Rs 2,000 per month as per the union cabinet decision.
They also demanded job reservation/quota for senior ASHA and ASHA facilitators (AF) while conducting interviews for the posts of ANMs, and provision of insurance cover for the ASHAs.
Besides the ASHAs, the AFs of the district also participated in the dharna.
