Eight para players to represent Arunachal in national championships

ITANAGAR, 17 Mar: Eight para players from Arunachal Pradesh will represent the state in the 18th Senior, 14th Junior National Para Powerlifting Championship, 2021 and the 19th National Para Athletics Championship (2020-2021), organized by the Paralympic Committee of India.

While the senior and the junior National Para Powerlifting championships will be held from 19 to 21 March in Bengaluru, Karnataka, the National Para Athletics Championship is scheduled from 24 to 27 March at Nehru Stadium, Chennai.

The team:

Powerlifting: Tarh Radhe (Jr category), Techi Sonu (Sr category); Badminton: Tame Tallang, DanguTalik and Biri Takar; Athletics: BamangTapung, Tapilonda, and Again Wangsa.

Tadar Rokpo is the team manger, while Nabam James and Nabam Yayum are the team official and escort, respectively.

Meanwhile, the PAA informed that the Sports Authority of Arunachal (SAA) Director Sports Gumnya Karbak and SAA Vice Chairman Tana Sanjeev have assured PAA of all possible help to promote para-sports in Arunachal.
