AALO, 27 Mar: The Mopin volleyball tournament for women and men got underway here in West Siang district on Saturday after its inauguration by Deputy Commissioner Moki Loyi.
Altogether eight women’s teams and six men’s teams are taking part in the tournament, which will be played on a knockout basis.
In the matches played on Saturday, Liik Kiin thrashed Kombo Raglam, Kargu Gamgi A beat Panya, Bene overpowered Kargu Gamgi B, and Yigi Kaum overcame Doji Jeko in the women’s category. In the men’s volleyball, PAYWA had an easy outing against Upper Colony, and Legi Leyi beat Hydropower. (DIPRO)
