YUPIA, 7 Apr: The Arunachal Pradesh State Legal Services Authority (APSLSA), in collaboration with the Hiri Moro Women’s Welfare Society (HMWWS) and Mopin Festival Celebration Committee organized a legal awareness camp on the occasion of Mopin festival celebration at the Galo Heritage Centre here in Papum Pare district on 5 and 6 April.
The legal services team and HMWWS members provided free legal counselling and information regarding the availability of free legal services, various government schemes and benefits for the public of the state during the awareness camp.
Legal awareness brochures on Arunachal Pradesh Victim Compensation Scheme, Para Legal Volunteers Scheme, Legal Aid Clinic, Lok Adalat, Women’s right to Protection from Domestic Violence, Child Rights and Marriage Registration, Motor Vehicle Act, the Schedule Tribe and Forest Dwellers Act and various Central Government Schemes were also distributed to around 200 visitors of the APSLSA stall.
