ITANAGAR, 7 May: The Indian Medical Association’s state branch (IMA-AP) on Friday said that the doctors have unanimously decided to continue their two-day protest against the physical assault on Dr Tabu Muri and Dr Nabam Jadav and the vandalism at Samaritan Hormin Hospital on Monday.
The decision to continue the agitation was taken “in absence of any formal statement from the government regarding the incident which was assured in a meeting held at civil secretariat on Thursday,” it said.
The IMA-AP also said it would launch a second phase of “intensified agitation” if the assaulters are not arrested within 10 days.
However, the doctors will continue to carry out all emergency and Covid-related duties, it said in a release.
