Tashi Yangjom, an instructor at the National Institute of Mountaineering and Allied Sports (NIMAS) in Dirang, scaled Mt Everest on 11 May at around 6 am. She is the ninth instructor from the NIMAS to have climbed the world’s highest peak in a span of three years, informed NIMAS Director Col Sarfraz Singh. Yangjom hails from Lubrang village in Dirang circle of West Kameng district.
