ITANAGAR, 14 May: The Pasighat-Roing 132 kv transmission line will be shut down in a phased manner from 17 May for shifting the conductors from the endangered emergency restoration system (ERS) to a new ERS.
According to the Arunachal Pradesh State Load Dispatch Centre (APSLDC) of the power department, the first phase of the shutdown will be from 0800 hrs of 17 May to 1600 hrs of 18 May. This will be followed by the second phase shutdown from 0800 hrs of 20 May upto 1600 hrs of 21 May.
Similarly, the third phase of power shutdown will start from 0800 hrs of 23 May to 1600 hrs of 24 May.
During the shutdown period, power supply to the affected districts will be partially maintained through the Rupai-Namsai 33 kv interstate transmission line, the APSLDC said.
“All affected district authorities have been requested to make appropriate contingency plans as per local condition and ensure that there is no power cut to the CCCs, DCHs, oxygen plants, etc, in their respective districts,” it said.
The APSLDC expressed regret for the inconvenience and difficulties that would be caused by the grid disruption due to the shutdown.
