OYAN, 20 Sep: A micro enterprise development programme (MEDP) on mobile repairing training was launched here in East Siang district on Monday.
Sponsored by the NABARD, the skill training is being implemented by Future Vision NGO, which will cover 30 unemployed rural youths of Oyan village. The objective of the training is to provide livelihood and income generation opportunities to the trainees by way of placement or setting up of their own units.
NABARD District Development Manager (DDM) Nitya Mili, who had earlier launched the training, advised the trainees to be sincere and equip themselves with necessary skills so that they can apply for bank credit to establish their own units.
He requested SBI Pasighat lead district manager to facilitate credit to the desirable candidates applying for loan. The DDM also advised Future Vision NGO to follow up the trainees for a period of six months.
Later, a session on financial literacy was also conducted by SBI Pasighat lead district manager to guide trainees regarding loan availing process and facilitating credit to the candidates applying for loan.
