TAWANG, 1 Oct: The International Day of Older Persons, themed ‘Digital equity for all ages’, was observed by the NCD team of Tawang at Kharsa village on Friday.
The theme encourages the need for easy access to and meaningful participation in the digital world by older persons.
More than 30 elderly persons were felicitated with local scarves and gifts. A health check-up was also carried out.
Physiotherapist Pema Tashi taught physical exercises which are beneficial during old age, and NPHCE District Programme Officer Dr Sangey Thinley called for respecting the elders and upholding their rights. (DIPRO)
