NAHARLAGUN, 15 Nov: The office of the sub-regional employment officer of the National Career Service Centre for SC/STs here celebrated Swachhta Pakhwada by organizing various activities, including essay writing competition and anti-drugs awareness programme from 1 November.
“Golden hedge tree species were also planted near the civil secretariat on 12 November, in collaboration with Hum Hindustani Sangathan (HHS),” Sub-regional Employment Officer Pangyio Dolo said in a release.
Dolo spoke on the Swachhta Pakhwada celebration during the inaugural function, while HHS secretary-general Manjing Arangham delivered a speech on ‘cleanliness and the ill effects of drug abuse’ at the government higher secondary school (GHSS) here on 11 November.
Prizes to the winners of the essay writing competition were distributed during the concluding function at the GHSS on 15 November.
