NAHARLAGUN, 11 Apr: The opening ceremony of the 3rd edition of the TRIHMS College’s festival, ‘Aurora 2022’, was inaugurated here on Sunday by TRIHMS Director Dr Moji Jini.
He unfurled the college flag, which was followed by the singing of the TRIHMS anthem by the MBBS students.
Speaking on the occasion, TRIHMS College Principal Dr Ashok L Dethe stressed the need for conducting co-curricular activities “to strengthen professional ideals.”
Dr Jini in his address urged the students to participate in sports and cultural activities.
Festival committee chairman Dr Minggam Pertin also spoke.
The students have been divided into five houses: Kameng, Subansiri, Siang, Lohit, and Tirap.
The sports event took off with a basketball competition, with the Kameng girls and Subansiri boys emerging victorious in their respective categories.
The festival will conclude on 23 April.
