PASIGHAT, 13 Apr: Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Tuesday said that the state government would extend all possible assistance for the development of the Niglok Sainik School. This assurance came after an hour-long meeting with the Lok Sabha member Tapir Gao, Pasighat West MLA Ninong Ering, Mebo MLA Lombo Tayeng and Sainik school principal commander Praveen Kumar Pola here in East Siang district.
Taking stock of the various challenges being faced by the school authority during the meeting, the CM assured to give necessary instructions to all the stakeholders to expedite the ongoing construction works. He commended the school principal for his continuous dedication and commitment to bring back the school on track in a short span of seven months.
Principal Pola informed that the works of the
prefabricated school campus have been completed but yet to be commissioned.
“180 cadets of Class VI, VII and VIII were presently at home and were waiting to join offline classes but the school was unable to call the cadets back as the external power supply work was still in progress,” the principal said.
Pola also informed that safety and security certification of the prefabricated structures was mandatory to operationalise the campus.
Briefing about the ongoing construction works of the administrative-cum-academic block being executed by the PWD Pasighat, the principal sought increased fund allocation for the project. (DIPRO)
