SHILLONG, 8 May: The 2nd edition of the North East Food Show was organised here in Meghalaya from 5-7 May by the directorate of food processing, in collaboration with Inter Ads Exhibitions Pvt Ltd.
The three-day event is one of Northeast India’s biggest food innovation and food processing show that is focused on creating a global platform for the local producers and entrepreneurs of the region.
“It also provided B2B platform, aimed at bridging the Northeast with the best of the food and food processing world and vice versa,” the Arunachal Pradesh Agriculture Marketing Board (APAMB) informed in a release.
Over 200 exhibitors took part in the event, which was attended by over 200 exhibitors from “the food processing industry of the NE, India and the world, together with 10 international trade delegations and over 11,000 visitors
comprising mass retail purchasers, importers, wholesalers, and distributors to hotel and catering buyers,” it said.
A 10-member delegation from Arunachal Pradesh, comprising APAMB CEO Okit Palling and members of the FPC under the MOVCDNER, besides representatives of the West Kameng Farmers Producer Company Limited, the Namsai Organic Spices and Agricultural Products Producer Company Limited, the Norphel Winery, and Lambu Subu Food & Beverages, attended the event.
