Rural tourism exchange prog concludes

NEW LUNGLA, 23 May: A weeklong ‘Rural tourism exchange programme’ between Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh concluded at the Zomkhang Hall here in Tawang district on Sunday.

The programme was focused on enhancing the capacity of the homestay owners of Lungla subdivision. The resource persons from Sikkim-based Chalamthang Tourism Development Committee also visited the homestays in Tawang and interacted with the homestay owners.

The programme is in continuation of the workshop on homestay, birding and photography which had been held in April 2022. Both the programmes have been conducted with the objective

of putting Lungla on the tourism map and creating income generation avenues for the unemployed youths of the region.

The closing ceremony was attended by Lungla ADC Tashi Dhondup, District Tourism Officer Tsering Deki, Jemeithang EAC Hibu Dindie, and panchayat leaders and homestay owners of Lungla subdivision. (DIPRO)
