Army conducts interactive session with orphanage students

TAWANG, 26 May: The Blazing Sword division of the Indian Army conducted an interactive session with the students of Manjushree orphanage here on Thursday as part of the division’s Operation Samaritan.

“The initiative was aimed at providing the students with the right direction at the right time to ensure that they prosper in life ahead,” Defence PRO Lt Col AS Walia informed in a release.

While the students up to Class 4 were taught about good touch and bad touch, career guidance was provided to the students of Class 9 to 12. The matter of hygiene and sanitation for girls was also discussed.

The army division later donated sports items, books and comics to the school, the PRO said.
