ITANAGAR, 27 May: Forty tug-of-war athletes from Arunachal Pradesh will participate in the 35th Senior Tug-of-War National Championships (Beach)-2020, beginning at Shiroda Beach in Vengurla, Maharashtra, on 28 May.
Arunachal will compete in the men’s 560 kg and 580 kg categories, the women’s 480 kg category, the mixed 600 kg category, and in the catch weight categories.
The team, including 15 females, reached Maharashtra on Friday.
On Thursday, Sports Authority of Arunachal Director Gumnya Karbak launched the team’s jersey in the presence of Arunachal Tug of War Association chairman Nili Likha Kamin.
