ITANAGAR, 28 May: The Adi Ba:ne Kebang (ABK) has mourned the demise of agriculturalist Jokut Modi, who passed away in Dibrugarh (Assam) on 28 May.
The ABK said that it is deeply pained by the news of the demise of the “revolutionary agriculturist who left for heavenly abode.”
“His works in the field of agriculture got him many state awards and he is duly recognised as a pioneer in green revolution of Adi Community,” it said, adding that late Modi’s selfless services to the society would be honoured forever.
The ABK offered deepest condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul.
