RUKSIN, 30 Aug: An ‘SMC/SDMC training programme’ was organised here in East Siang district on Tuesday “to create conducive learning environment in the schools, or to ensure active involvement of civil society,” Oyan CR Centre coordinator Okom J Panyang informed in a release.
“For strengthening the functions of school or developmental plans/activities through combined efforts by SMC/SMDC or powers, roles, responsibilities and functions empowered to them were taught to the gathering by Roing DIET Principal B Dutta, and Pasighat DIET Principal T Taki,” the release said.
East Siang DDSE Odhuk Tabing, BEOs of Ruksin, and all cluster and block coordinators took part in the programme, the release stated, adding that SMC/SDMC members and teachers from 43 schools of Ruksin block attended the training programme.
