DEED, 5 Oct: The first ever Deed Pistana Circle Veterans’ Football Championship began here under Lower Subansiri district on Wednesday. The event is being organized by the Deed Youth Club.
In the inaugural match, defending champion Seya Veterans Football Club (SVFC) trounced Dem 35 + by 5-0 goals.
Toko Har from the SVFC scored within nine minutes of the play while Tabi Toko scored twice. Licha Rupak and Toko Juna were other scorers for SFVC.
Pangin MLA Ojing Tasing and Sports Authority of Arunachal chairman Byabang Taj along with Lower Subansiri deputy commissioner Bamin Nime attended the inaugural event.
