BASAR, 7 Nov: A ‘training-cum-input distribution programme’ was organised by the ICAR’s state centre here in Leparada district on Monday, under the Tribal Sub-Plan.
During the programme, plant breeding & genetics scientist Dr L Touthang explained the scientific technique of potato cultivation and “effective utilisation of rice fallow land for generation of more income during the rabi season.”
Agronomy scientist Dr Badapmain Makdoh spoke about the scope and importance of linseed and sesame cultivation technique, and demonstrated the technique for the benefit of the participating farmers.
Potato tuber seeds were later distributed among the farmers.
