BALIJAN, 22 Nov: A workshop on ‘Scope of mushroom farming’ was conducted at the ADC office premises here in Papum Pare district on Monday.
Initiated by Balijan ZPM Tem Pika, the workshop was attended by members of SHGs and the public, along with students.
Karko Ao LLP director Bombi Riba explained the importance of oyster mushroom and its health and economic benefits, and said that “mushroom cultivation can flourish in Balijan subdivision, owing to its favourable climatic conditions and availability of raw materials for mushroom farming.”
At the ZPM’s request, he promised to arrange a three-day training programme for interested farmers of the area.
