DARING, 23 Jan: Twenty-five farmers participated in a training and input distribution programme organised here in Leparada district by the ICAR’s Basar-based regional centre (RC) on Monday.
During the programme, RC Joint Director Dr H Kalita highlighted the feasible technologies developed by the RC for income generation and livelihood improvement through adoption of technologies.
Horticulture scientist Dr Thejangulie Angami highlighted the scientific production technology of vegetables, and social science expert Dr Ampee Tasung shed light on vermicomposting technology for soil fertility and improvement.
Inputs such as French bean, cowpea, okra, vermicompost, rakes, etc, were later distributed to the farmers.
