I am writing with deep concern to highlight the conducting of the APTET 2024. The higher & technical education department has not conducted any APTET since from 2022, while the unemployment rate is growing as students are graduating from BEd course every year in Arunachal.
The higher & technical education department conducts the APTET two times a year to check the candidates’ competency and eligibility as trained teachers. However, it has not conducted the test since 2022.
The CBSE conducts the CTET twice a year smoothly, based on its exam calendar. Last year the government had announced the Mukya Mantri Shiksha Kosh Scheme and a centre-state scheme called the Integrated Scheme of School Education (ISSE), requiring APTET/CTET Paper-II. Meanwhile, the APPSC released its exam calendar for TGT aspirants for 2024, and we all know that CTET/APTET Paper-II is mandatory for all.
Therefore I request the higher & technical education department to conduct the APTET 2024 as soon as possible, before the APPSC’s TGT exam.
